Useful English expressions for Airport check-in (boarding pass)

An aisle seat: a seat next to the corridor/an aisle on the plane

A window seat: a seat next to the window on the plane

Luggage: baggage, suitcases, and bags that you carry when you are traveling.

A luggage scale/a suitcase scale: a machine that is used to weigh luggage before getting on the plane to avoid luggage being overweight.

Destination country: the country you are traveling to.

Passport: an official document issued by a government, certifying the holder's identity and citizenship and entitling them to travel under its protection to and from foreign countries.

A boarding pass: a document that a passenger gets in the airport and can board the airplane with that.

To board a flight: you board a flight after you check-in.

To take off a flight: when the plane moves along the ground to fly in the air.

A delayed flight: a flight that takes off later than its scheduled flight.
