What are ETFs? ETF stands for Exchange Traded Funds. Exchange is because ETFs trade on a stock exchange. Traded is because they can be traded throughout the day similar to stocks. Funds is because ETFs generally consist of a collection of stocks, bonds, or other securities that are combined into one investment called a fund. Why ETFs? 1. Diversification - ETFs contain many stocks or bonds which allows you to gain exposure to multiple markets. 2. Low Cost - Most ETFs track an underlying index, which means they are passively managed and have low fees compared to actively managed funds. 3. Tax Efficiency - Due to tax structure, ETFs are more tax efficient than mutual funds. Dividend Income with ETFs: For a typical dividend based portfolio, in order to generate $100 per day from dividends, you would need to have invested $1,460,000. Growth & The 4% Rule: The amount you need in order to accomplish this is $915,000. If you invested $10 per day it would take you 38 years. If you invested $25 per day it would take you 27 years. If you invested $50 per day it would take you 20 years. If you were able to invest $100 per day, it would take you 13 yearsβ¦ and that's really fast considering you'd be able to live off of this. π½ Other videos you may like π½ Mutual Funds vs Index Funds vs ETFs: https://youtu.be/_Oz_l3GQxhU What Is A Stock Market Index? https://youtu.be/RtfZvxkqC2A π Don't forget to subscribe with notifications on and hit that like button!
