New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio holds a news conference on Thursday to provide an update on the response to the coronavirus outbreak that has infected more than 2,400 people in the city. Mayor de Blasio said Tuesday New Yorkers should prepare for a “shelter-in-place” order in the coming days as local officials try to contain the fast-moving coronavirus that’s spreading throughout the U.S., adding that a decision will be made in the next 48 hours.
