The Women’s Leadership Council invites you to
Unlocking Your Gifts
with Tanya D. Jones ’97

In this much needed conversation, Tanya will share coaching practices that have helped clients create personal and career breakthroughs. We will look at what it takes to recognize, celebrate, and honor our gifts while connecting with our personal truths. Throughout this conversation we will observe how to challenge the inner critic, claim what we are ready and willing to release, and choose what to replace it with. In a time of internal and external unrest we will challenge the inner critic and set forth a host of possibilities.

The same day Jones received a job offer at a television network in New York City, she was also offered two other jobs in social services in her hometown of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Having just graduated with a degree in sociology from Trinity College, social services made sense on paper, but television was calling her. She was excited about the possibilities of all three opportunities. While it was a tough decision before she knew it, she was on a Peter Pan bus heading north.

Jones has produced countless series for television networks and digital platforms for over two decades. As a writer, producer, and director, Tanya’s work has aired on networks like A&E, PBS, Discovery Channel, Food Network, HGTV, and Disney. She joined Meredith Corporation’s branded entertainment division in 2008 to help produce content across tv and digital. From 2008 to 2020, Jones collaborated with brands like Amazon Studios, Walmart, Target, L’Oréal, Coca Cola, Proctor and Gamble, and Home Depot. Jones and her “A team” worked closely with content strategists, sales, and marketing to distribute high quality social first video content across Meredith’s iconic brands like People, Better Homes and Garden, AllRecipes, Food and Wine, and Shape. Jones garnered multiple awards and honorable mentions in the most profitable branded content vertical for Meredith’s digital group.

Alongside 12 successful years at Meredith, Jones spent weekends and evenings completing a 9-month training with Leadership That Works. In 2014 she became a certified professional coach and has since helped women and men transform and cultivate new mindsets and actions towards personal power and transformation. She coaches clients one-on-one in the areas of career, relationships, and personal growth. Tanya is an active member and ongoing career coach for New York Women in Communications offering pro-bono services for members.

After bravely leaving a successful career at Meredith, Tanya founded Mama Bear Media Group LLC in 2020. She has set the stage to elevate her expertise in her way, combining production and coaching under a single vision to serve and inspire!
