Families of Israeli hostages have released a 3-minute clip that shows 7 Israeli women soldiers being taken hostage by Hamas on October 7, last year. The gruesome video shows the women with their faces and bodies covered in bruises and blood. The families say they have only released 3 minutes of the 13-minute-long clip because they wanted to censor the horrifying parts. The families believe that releasing the video will put pressure on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to secure a hostage release deal with Hamas. Netanyahu’s war cabinet ministers who saw the video say that it made their “stomachs churn”. The Israeli Prime Minister has himself called the video “horrifying”.
