Rachel Lindsay says she’s accepting Chris Harrison’s apology and it's time to move forward!

Hey guys! Welcome to another shared news from home! We have the latest from Rachel Lindsay BUT…

As always…

So if you’ve been keeping up with the controversy following Chris Harrison’s interview with Rachel Lindsay you’ll know Rachel made it clear after his first apology that she wasn’t totally thrilled…
At the time she explained on her podcast that she felt the apology was a response to the backlash and that the interview felt more like Chris’ truth
She later shared that she felt Chris’ decision to step down from hosting temporarily was the right decision

DISCUSS: Rachel’s been leading the charge for progress in bachelor nation for so long now, she received so much unnecessary hate in the aftermath...so wrong!

She’s now weighing in on his Good Morning America interview and says its time to move on…
She explained to Extra's Billy Bush:
"I do accept that and I think it's important for me to say that because we need to move forward. And for me, for us to move forward, I need to accept the apology, so we can all be better from this situation, which is what we want."

DISCUSS: she’s right...in order to see progress we have to start moving on!

Rachel went on to talk explain:
"In 2020, it was all about people realizing things that they hadn't before. It was a level of awareness that was created that people hadn't necessarily recognized. And out of that also came conversations that we should be having whether they're tough, uncomfortable, whatever it may be. Isn't that what this should be as well?

She then shared WHY the show needs to step up and meet the moment saying:
“It's bigger than just The Bachelor, it's bigger than just a reality TV show. There are a lot of issues that have come up because of this interview, and I think it's important that we continue the conversation, we continue to move forward. And I think that's the best thing that we can hope for out of all of this."

DISCUSS: obviously we DON’T know what the changes will look like to the franchise moving forward, what are some steps we hope they take?

DISCUSS: Rachel had said when her contracts up she’ll be done with the franchise, she’s been such a voice for change do we hope she’ll continue to be a part of the conversation?
