00:00 - Introduction 00:55 - What is Parkinson's Law(PL)? 01:46 - How to apply PL in University? 03:28 - How to apply PL in your own lives? 03:55 - Summary 04:28 - After-Credits ----- In this video, I talk about a time management skill that helped me get more things done in less time. Especially during University, it's important that we manage our time effectively. As I said in this video, Parkinson's Law is one way to effectively manage your time and it's really simple. How I manage my time and how you manage your time will be different because we all have different priorities in life. But in saying that, Parkinson's Law is something I wish I knew earlier on. Parkinson's Law. "Work expands the time you allocate to it." If you tell yourself a task will take 1 hour, usually (not always depending on the complexity and size of the workload) it WILL take you 1 hour to do, but in reality, you could've ACTUALLY done it in 40 minutes (or even less!). As I said in the video, "the more effort you put into recording a piece of information, the better you'll retain that information" and Parkinson's Law forces you to do that. This also explains why we all leave things last minute. Hope you enjoyed the video!
