This webinar was recorded on February 14, 2018.
Simulation has been a large, vague topic thus far in EMS. This webinar will dive into the actual ‘How To’ for curriculum coordination and deploying simulation and scenarios in paramedic programs in the most efficient way possible. Using the research from her dissertation, Regina will go over an integrated curriculum model for planning simulation and scenarios in a learner-effective way, discuss multiple ways to use simulation in addition to covering typical small-group cases, and discuss flipped classroom, faculty training, and debriefing. It will answer real questions, including: (a) how do you break simulation down into meaningful bites for students?, (b) how do we address cognitive overload, (c) how can I use simulation other than in small groups, and (d) where can I use simulation to flip my classroom completely and get the most hands-on experiences for my students? |
