Where to retire?
Our "Where in the World Should I Retire" series returns - this time with a deeper dive into specific regions and areas around the USA.
If you google or look up any details or information on where to retire in the southwest inevitably you end up with a bunch of places in Arizona or Texas, some lists include Nevada (which we have in the West)
Maybe the desert life or stetson hats ain't your thing...
Instead for this episode we break down each of the Southwestern States (no offense to anyone but as we say in the episode we kind of "Gerrymandered" the US Map to fit our broadcast):
Missouri
Oklahoma
New Mexico
Texas
Arizona

We have selected a specific city or metro region from each of these states based on our own retirement friendly indicator:
Cost of Living - including taxes, specifically property tax
Healthcare & Medical Services
Access to International Travel - for those 4 weeks you plan on travelling
Arts, Activities, Hobbies
Over 65 Population
We also discuss the Cons of each of these locations and who they may, or may not, be suited too.

Doing a Trial Run - we feel this is extremely important to understand exactly what your life will be like once you decide to retire. I mean everyone says they want to travel - we say great! - but what are you going to do for the other 48 weeks of the year?
