So Jillian Michaels who was on the TV show the Biggest Loser, has made another video on calories in and calories out. Why is that hypothesis still a thing? It has been proven over and over that calorie restriction fails 98% of the time long term. Any time you argue about this they say "law of thermal dynamics" which doesn't take into account the compartmentalization of calorie storage between glycogen and fat. It also does not take into account metabolism, which can drop up to 1000 calories at rest in response to an eat less move more strategy. This was illustrated in the Biggest Loser Study. Bottom line, if eat less move more is your strategy to lose weight, you will have to continuously do that to maintain weight loss, and in 98% of cases the hunger always wins.

We agree that fasting is healthy and not the best weight loss strategy. We disagree on what diet is best for weight loss and health.
