There has been a lot of talking about kick offering to pay streamers $16 an hour to stream on their platform. This has been generating a lot of hype for kick streaming and has been making the argument that kick is better than twitch more believable. The problem is, hype is like a fire. If you don't keep adding wood on to the fire, it will die out and stop providing warmth. Kick's hype has been dying down since the launch of the program announcing the 95/5 revenue split. Kick had an opportunity to add fuel to the fire, hype to their streaming company but instead they fumbled yet another bag in the streaming industry.

I have made multiple videos here on YouTube about How to grow on kick and other kick streaming related content. I wanted kick to succeed more than anyone because the small streamer community needs some sort of motivation to keep grinding. Even if Kick kept these super high requirements and told everyone "We will be paying you $16 an hour once you reach these requirements" This would be huge motivation for streamers to take streaming serious and do what is necessary to grow and build their audience.

The problem with streaming is the fact that people give up way too easily. Yes there is millions of people out there who are grinding to become a full time streamer, but that doesn't mean that they will be grinding hard than you. In fact it is entirely up to you how hard you work. And it's not all about grinding and streaming intensive hours either, in the streaming space it's very important to work smarter not harder. Streaming 8 hours a day is working harder, not smarter. Instead stream once a week and focus all of your other energy on clips and other viral-worthy content that will have the chance of exposing you to new potential viewers. Let's use business as a real world example. There are millions of more businesses out there than streamers. Every single store, restaurant, building, office, and factory is a business so with the logic most streamers posses, I should've never started my business because I'm already in competition with some of the biggest names in business, including Walmart, Amazon, and even Twitch.

Listening to this type of fear mongering is exactly what will keep you down if you let it. I did not let the fear of failure stop me because of one simple tool that can change your life. Don't be scared to fail as failing will only teach you something you needed to know before succeeding. There is a positive takeaway in even the most negative situations, you can always learn something from everything. The more you learn, especially about success and how to achieve it, the more likely you are to complete the steps necessary for growth.

If I would've listened to that same type of fear mongering I would not be fully self employed and running multiple businesses because I would've been scared to compete with these major companies such as Walmart. Instead I realized that there is plenty of money to go around in this world, you just have to learn how to earn it ( without working for someone else. )

With that being said this same logic can be applied to streaming. There are millions of potential viewers that are doing nothing and are begging to be entertained, you just need to find them and convince them exactly why they should be watching you. The easiest way to do this is by posting viral-worthy entertaining content that showcases your personality, gets good exposure on short form platforms, and gives those watching a desire to want to watch you live. You are the business and the viewers are your clients, you need to treat it like such and with proper marketing success is inevitable.
