Tesla leads in electric vehicle sales wherever they've planted a Gigafactory. Currently Volkswagen is the leader in Europe, but Elon Musk has set his sights on DOMINATING the continent once Giga Berlin is built. Volkswagen CEO, Herbert Diess, has quite the challenge ahead to convert VW's factories into EV-producing plants. However Tesla will be competing in terms of deliveries and also taking talented people to the new gigafactory. Model Y will be the first vehicle produced by Tesla in Europe, but Volkswagen has already has multiple crisis meetings, at one point even inviting Elon Musk to speak to internal executives, as Tesla is able to produce it's vehicles 3x faster than VW. This is worrisome, as Tesla has been planning battery production of 4680's for years now, whereas VW is about to fall even further behind. CNBC believes that Volkswagen is ahead of Tesla, but the real question is, will Tesla in fact CRUSH Volkswagen?
