The Sacramento Kings interim head coach Alvin Gentry was relieved of his coaching duties, the team announced Monday. “The entire Kings organization is grateful for the leadership of Alvin Gentry, who stepped up when he got the call mid-season,” said Monty McNair, Kings general manager. “We appreciate his leadership on and off the court.” Gentry had been named as interim head coach in Nov. 2021, after Luke Walton was fired following a disappointing start in his third season in charge.
