Two of America's most experienced foreign policy professionals, Paula Dobriansky and Dennis Ross, assess the impact of Russia's invasion of Ukraine in an April 27, 2022 forum moderated by award-winning Washington Post columnist Josh Rogin. Paula Dobriansky, a foreign policy expert and former diplomat specializing in national security affairs, served as Under Secretary of State for Global Affairs (2001-2009) and the President's Envoy to Northern Ireland (2007-2009). Currently, she is a Senior Fellow at Harvard University's JFK Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs and is the Vice Chair of the Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security, the Atlantic Council.

Dennis Ross is counselor and William Davidson Distinguished Fellow at The Washington Institute for Near East Policy. Prior to returning to the Institute in 2011, he served two years as special assistant to President Obama and National Security Council senior director for the Central Region, and a year as special advisor to Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. He previously served in high-level positions in the administrations of presidents Jimmy Carter, George H.W. Bush, and Bill Clinton.

Josh Rogin is a columnist for the Global Opinions section of the Washington Post and a political analyst with CNN. Previously, Josh has covered foreign policy and national security for Bloomberg View, Newsweek, The Daily Beast, Foreign Policy magazine, Congressional Quarterly, Federal Computer Week magazine, and Japan’s Asahi Shimbun.
