video thumbnail
Lean is a mindset, not a tool. This four session series is based upon the Five Principles of Lean Thinking, as described by Jim Womack in his book, “Lean Thinking.”

The four sessions will guide the participant through the foundational elements that drive continuous improvement through Lean Thinking.

10/6/16 Session 1 (Value for the Customer; Identify Your Value Stream), focuses on the Seven Deadly Wastes and the differences between Value Added and Non-Value Added activities. It also introduces you to Value Stream Mapping, which is a tool to show the waste in a value stream.
