In this class we take a look at one of the most radical and advanced Non-Dual texts of all time: The Ashtavakra Gita. We first say a few words about what makes this text so profound and then I offer three warnings regarding the danger of studying this text.
We then sketch out what Non-Duality is and how it works in the big picture before taking up Verse 4 of Chapter 15 to begin our journey.

My intention with these sessions is to really dive deep into the tradition of Non-Duality.
We'll study a whole host of texts like Shankara's Aprokshanabhuti, Atma Bodha and Viveka Chudamani, Vidyaranya Swami's Panchadashi and Drg Drsya Viveka and of course other such "primer" texts (Prakaranas) alongside the core cannon: Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita and Brahma Sutras with regular excursions into the Ashtavakra Samhita, Avadhuta Gita and Yoga Vasishta. So as you can see, my intention is to explore the whole range of Advaitic literature from the introductory to intermediate to advanced so that we can all of us have a very firm grasp and firm understanding of what this tradition is saying.
I'll aim to keep each session rather short and concise. There will be a small info lecture, taking just a single verse at a time (or more likely just a fraction of the verse) and then we'll go into a discussion to solidify our understanding and support each other in the endeavour to integrate, embody and realise the teachings here and now.
