Russian police have detained hundreds of immigrants in an operation at a Moscow vegetable market, a day after nationalists rioted on the streets chanting “Russia for Russians”. The nationalists had rioted at the same facility on Saturday. They broke in, believing an immigrant working there was responsible for a fatal stabbing. Russian police said the immigrants were detained to check if they were responsible for any wrongdoing, but were not accused of any crime. Al Jazeera’s Rory Challands reports.
