Panipat is a 2019 Indian Hindi-language epic war drama film. Directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, the film is based on the Third Battle of Panipat which took place on 14 January 1761 between the Marathas and King Ahmad Shah Abdali of Afghanistan. This war epic depicts the events that led to the Third Battle of Panipat. Panipat Movie was released theatrically in India on 6 December 2019.
