New Alzheimers med approved? But is it worth the cost?

So last week the FDA put out approval for a new Alzheimer's medication call aduhelm (adacanumab). There are a lot of questions about this because the evidence is not overwhelming but we don't really have a lot of good options for treating Alzheimer's. It's expensive and requires infusions as opposed to tablets, there are risks of brain swelling and minor brain bleeds showing on the images required to track progress of the medicine. There are a lot of things to consider. We'll talk about them in this video.
