Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 14, marked Quasi una fantasia, in c-sharp minor, Op. 27, No. 2, was written in 1801. The piece is one of Beethoven's most popular compositions for the piano. Horowitz studio recorded the piece three times: 1946, 1956, and 1972. Recordings from 1946 and 1956 were balanced, but rather mediocre. Despite the slightest instability, I chose this one because it represents Horowitz the most. 00:00 Adagio sostenuto 05:57 Allegretto 08:27 Presto agitato |
