- Desmond Bane, who former Mavericks GM Donnie Nelson passed on twice in the 2020 NBA Draft, has become one of the best young players in the NBA, averaging almost 25 points per game in the 2023-24 NBA Season. Josh Green, who the Mavs took ahead of Bane, has failed to become a compliment to Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving in his 4th NBA season.
- Richaun Holmes rumors surfaced after last night’s Mavs vs. Grizzlies game, where members of his family were tweeting about Holmes’ lack of playing time and how Mavs head coach Jason Kidd has used him. Holmes has failed to make an impact after the Mavs traded for him on the night of the 2023 NBA Draft, which in turn landed them Olivier-Maxence Prosper with the 24th overall pick.
