They went as far as threatening to "unalive" his dog if he didn't confess to it. The craziest part of this case? His father was at the airport because he had plans to visit his daughter in North Carolina.

What if the police simply made a call to the father to see if anyone had heard from him? What if they checked his credit cards to see if he purchased a flight recently? This could have taken hours, or even minutes. Instead, they spent 17 hours torturing a man to the point he tried to "unalive" himself and had to go to a mental hospital. Their lazy investigation destroyed a man mentally.

When they DID find out his father was alive, did they tell Thomas Perez Jr.? NOPE! They continued treating him like a criminal and 5151ed him.
