It’s never wise to go grocery shopping, on an empty stomach, because you usually end up buying food you don’t really need. Animals, however, always go to the grocery on an empty stomach and that’s why they often bite off more than they can chew. Have you ever seen a mongoose take on a giant snake? What about hyenas trying to tackle a hippo? If you feel like seeing animals with enormous appetites, keep watching, as we countdown 14 predators trying to take down animals twice their size.

This calf was most likely celebrating something, and the crocodile crashed the party, uninvited. Is the crocodile aware that an elephant can crush it, just by stepping on it? The elephant receives the shock of his life when a crocodile emerges from the water and clutches the elephant's trunk. The elephant flings its head from side to side and even approaches the crocodile to free itself. It manages to break away at some point. When the crocodile saw the gigantic beast about to step on it, it must have let go. A crocodile grabs the elephant calf's trunk when the calf and his mother are in the water. The calf, on the other hand, manages to release itself from the hold of the croc. I'm not sure what this crocodile was thinking as it jumped out of the water and charged a huge elephant on land. The elephant smiled and questioned the reptile's sanity, as well as whether he was sure he wanted to carry out his foolish idea. Lion Attacks Elephant Lions don't usually hunt elephants, but desperate times call for desperate measures. We get to see incredible footage of a pride of 30 lions hunting down a juvenile elephant in the dead of night. With no other elephants present to help, the elephant is chased by the entire pride. The felines will finally kill the elephant and feed themselves. These lions are on the hunt for food, and their perseverance pays off in these trying times. Nature provides a lucky break for the big cats, but it also deals the cruelest hand to a five-year-old elephant calf who gets lost. His family doesn't hear his trumpeting calls, and he can't outrun the lions. He can't use his tusks as weapons since they're too little. The lionesses wrestle the two-ton beast to the ground and restrain him. Even though the cats are seasoned hunters, this is their first encounter with an elephant. Their attempts are awkward and ineffective, with their teeth barely piercing the elephant's thick skin. They assault the soft susceptible regions since his neck is too big to choke. They start eating the elephant alive because they can't kill it. This juvenile elephant gets pounded by a male lion, and despite its small size, it tries to take the lion on its back to flee. However, the lion tips the elephant over, and the feline, with the help of a companion, launches a full-fledged assault to kill the calf. As it runs for the water, a juvenile elephant is fighting to fend off 14 lions. When the elephant pulls a" panorama" and then goes full speed down a little incline, moving closer to the water, it nearly looks like a definite kill for the pride. The elephant still has one lion on his back, but when he enters the water and spins again, the lion on his back jumps ship, and the elephant decides to run back to shore, ending up on the beach with complete pride once again. He returns to the lake, repels the cats, and eventually crosses the water. One lion pursues it across the river, but when the elephant turns around and charges the lion, the cat flees with the rest of the pride. The elephant has the bravery to return to shore and hunt the lions one more time to rid himself of these lions once and for all.
