Nightwish ft. John Two-Hawks - Creek Mary's Blood (guitar cover) |

October 12 marks Indigenous Peoples' Day (or Columbus Day in other sources).
With this guitar cover, I decide to honor the culture of Native Americans, to help bring about some thoughts about their unfortunate grief and sorrow, all bestowed upon them by the white man. May their nations live long and catch a time when they shall prosper again. Remember them as the original Americans, and never forget their sacrifices. Remember the Trail of Tears. All music is property of the band Nightwish, this is just a guitar cover. I've included footage from their End Of An Era live concert for Creek Mary's Blood, as I believe this live version is even better than the studio version. In addition, it makes watching easier in the blank spaces between the different guitar parts - some part were added by me over the song; that is, they are personal additions. At the end, I've written the lyrics in English for the Lakotan poem, so that this whole tribute would make sense from start to finish. The author of the lyrics is Tuomas Holopainen. Many thanks to Nightwish for the music and lyrics! Many thanks to John Two-Hawks for this amazing performance! And, last but not least - warm thanks to all the Natives who sacrificed their lives and free spirit so that their culture remained of actuality in these grave times we're living through. Your memory will not be forgotten. -- Mastered by Flaviu Berbecariu.
