You may think that with only Balkoth and the alliance left standing that our foe no longer poses a threat to Urak but that mindset is a very dangerous one. Balkoth still commands one of the most well-rounded forces in the game and has many, many units scattered throughout the lands that could easily amass into multiple armies. Then there’s Balkoth himself, the only jack-of-all-trades lord that can go toe-to-toe with any other lord and prevail. That he’s backed up by a large army of javelin throwers and horsemen makes confronting him even more dangerous.

Remember also that Balkoth need only slay the ruler of a faction to destroy it. It doesn’t matter how many cities you hold, how many armies are at your command or the huge piles of resources you swim for your morning exercise; all that matters is that your lord lives. For all the might Bradigan’s alliance has, some of the lords are travelling about Urak with very small forces that would be easy for Balkoth to dispatch should be find them, not that that would happen, of course.

Definitely no foreshadowing there. Nope, none at all.
