Instagram allows anyone to set their account to either public or private. If it's private, you have to request to follow them and they have to approve your follow request for you to see their images. There's really no way around this but I walk you through a step to create a new Instagram account that's sort of a dummy account and from there you can follow the person's private account and they won't know it's you. This process works the same for iPhone running iOS 14 and Android. This is also true for any PC or Mac that you're using to view Instagram on.
