A tiktok user may have just found a MAJOR gossip girl clue fans missed in the very first episode!!!

Hey guys! Welcome to another SNFH, we have to talk about this crazy gossip girl theory, BUT…

Did we love GG?

After six seasons and more than 120 episodes of series, we obviously learned that the mysterious blogger was none other than Dan Humphrey…

DISCUSS: did we see this coming at the time?

Obviously there were clues and moments throughout the series where we can look back and see how it could have been Dan all along, but a TikTok user just may have spotted a crazy easter egg literally in the first episode…
What’s crazy is, it's not some tricky small detail that’s tough to spot...in the last moment of the pilot episode its VERY obvious

This isn’t the only clue people have noticed after the fact!
When viewers first hear Gossip Girl's voice at the beginning of the pilot, when Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) returns to New York City and was spotted in Grand Central Station. Who else was there? Dan!

DISCUSS: perhaps less obvious but interesting…

Aside from clues and easter eggs there are also multiple plot holes throughout the show and even Pen Bagdley wasn’t convinced it made sense as Dan in the end…
"It doesn't make sense at all. It wouldn't have made sense for anybody. Gossip Girl doesn't make sense!" he told People with a laugh in 2015 before acknowledging, "But no, it made enough sense. He was a writer."

Based on interviews over the years with the production team gossip girl as Dan wasn’t a locked down plan from Day 1…
one of the show's writers admitted there were other candidates besides Dan, including Serena's brother Eric van der Woodsen (played by Connor Paolo) and Nate Archibald (played by Chace Crawford).

"I always thought it was Eric until the end of season two, and I even guided it that way, but when the New York Post revealed it was Eric—and I still don't know how that happened, I think they were just guessing—and we realized we couldn't go down that road anymore, so we abandoned him,"
"Then there was possibly Nate, because we never saw him send anything in to Gossip Girl. But in the end, it had to be Dan, because Dan's a writer, observer, and could write in different styles."

Gossip Girl is being rebooted, which is so exciting!
The 2021 adaptation follows the new crowd of Manhattan's elite, picking up eight years after the original characters — Serena, Blair, Nate, Jenny, Chuck, Dan and co. — find out the true identity of the person behind NYC's premiere gossip site.

The new cast is more diverse and centers around more LGBTQ+ representation
Kristen Bell is returning as the voice of Gossip Girl. There is no official release date as of yet, but it will reportedly be out later this year!

What’s interesting is we don’t exactly know what the gossip girl format will be this time around a writer/producer from the original series is on board and shared:
“we thought there was something really interesting about the idea that we are all Gossip Girl now, in our own way, that we are all purveyors of our own social media surveillance state and how that has evolved and how that has mutated and morphed and telling that through a new generation of Upper East Side high school kids,”

As for the OG casts involvement the door is wide open for cameos BUT no official word yet!
