Arsenal went into the Emirates clash with plenty to do having gone down 3-1 to their French opponents in last week’s first leg. But they showed they meant business from the off as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang got their noses in front on the night within five minutes. Ainsley Maitland-Niles doubled Arsenal’s advantage on the 15-minute mark, before Aubameyang notched his second goal of the night in the second half. Arsenal fans will be delighted to have seen Unai Emery’s men progress to the quarter-finals of the Europa League at Rennes’ expense. And they can be forgiven for having missed Kolasinac breaking the rules before the game had even kicked off. Pictures prove the Arsenal left wing-back was in the Rennes half prior to Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette getting the match going. And that flouts Law 8: The start and restart of play of the Laws of the Game, as set out by the International Football Association Board. The rule in question states: "All players, except the player taking the kick off, must be in their own half of the field of play." Arsenal’s 4-3 aggregate win over Rennes saw them join London rivals Chelsea in the last eight of the Europa League. And Kolasinac took to Twitter post-match to celebrate it, as well as hailing two-goal Aubameyang who celebrated his second strike by donning a Black Panther mask. "Get in! Big effort on both ends of the pitch tonight, quarter-finals here we are!" Kolasinac wrote. "#BlackPanther aka @Aubameyang7 is there when you need him."  Arsenal and Chelsea will discover their quarter-final opponents later on Friday when the Europa League draw takes place in Sion. Valencia, Napoli, Benfica, Slavia Prague, Eintracht Frankfurt and Villarreal are all potential opponents for the Premier League duo. The quarter-finals fixtures will take place on Thursday April 11 and Thursday April 18. The semi-finals are scheduled for Thursday May 2 and Thursday May 9, with the final in Baku, Azerbaijan on Wednesday May 29.
