MSNBC host Rachel Maddow interrupted caucus coverage to announce they would not be carrying former President Donald Trump’s victory speech live because of all the “lies.”

Maddow co-anchored MSNBC’s special Decision 2024 coverage of the Iowa Caucuses Monday night, along with Chris Hayes, Joy Reid, Ari Melber, and Steve Kornacki. The race was called for Trump within 30 minutes, leaving cable personalities to banter about politics and wait for victory and concession speeches.

But Trump’s victory speech was not on the program, as Maddow cut in to explain that the network had “revisited” their policy of not taking his speeches live — and decided to keep it
