If you're an INTJ, you've probably spent a lot of your life feeling misunderstood or "strange." You are correct: INTJs make up a little over 2% of the population in general, and female INTJs are considerably rarer (less than 1 percent of women are INTJ). The difficulty is exacerbated by an INTJ's unique blend of talents and shortcomings.

INTJs are critical thinkers who are direct and focused on getting things done – not the best combination for casual conversation. As a result, many INTJs shun social situations in order to concentrate on ideas, projects, or work. They create deep, tight relationships with a small group of trusted individuals, and those friends mean everything to them.
