Have you ever thought about the places found in the city you are travelling to which are not much historical and touristic but which carries a meaning for you? BFI shop in London is one of the places that attract some people to it and one which you should consider if you are going there anytime soon.

The BFI shop (British Film Institute) actually carries a quite good history behind, it was founded back in 1933 - a good time ago. The BFI is a charity governed by a Royal Charter; it combines cultural, creative and industrial roles, bringing together the BFI National Archive and BFI Reuben Library, film distribution, exhibition and education and BFI Southbank and BFI IMAX, publishing and festival.

It is not just about the shop - although it is the only destination we have been to in this video - but there are also the other parts of the BFI which are related to education and film and TV. The BFI shop sells different things, there you will find books, DVDs and Blu-ray, gifts and you will most probably find the latest versions and the newest releases which you might have been searching for - it would be nice to go back home with a chosen gift for a friend or family member from that shop, they might find it hard to search for it elsewhere.

Visiting this place might not take much time from you - that's of course if you are not a mad fan who would be checking every single product found inside there - but it will be always a good idea to take a break from all the historical places you are visiting in the city and at the same time find good things to buy for yourself.

The interesting thing to know about is the fact that every single purchase that is done in the BFI shop supports the work of the BFI. Inside the shop and while touring around trying to find something of your interest, you will find the staff working there who are also film experts who will be more than willing to help you. The shop is not just about BFI products, but there you could also find a huge range of world cinema and specialist Blu-rays, DVDs, books and film related merchandise - so you will find everything you are searching for and even more.

This is one of the places that doesn't have much to do with the history of the city that tourists coming to London could check, but there are also other examples that we could also refer to, one of them is the M&M's World where people will find everything related to the chocolate itself to the t-shirts, teddy bears and lots of other products and toys, it is one of the places that kids and parents enjoy visiting (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPogfIu-63U). When one gets to ask about the places that could be checked and visited in London, there are usually expected permanent places that will be mentioned and written down in the list. These are always the ordinary places that are suggested when it comes to travelling to London because they tell much about its history, but there are some other places which we could suggest but which at the same time are not a must to go to if you are visiting London.
