Dr. Devorah Lieberman, President Emerita-University of La Verne (2011-August, 2023), is an accomplished executive, scholar, changemaker and influencer in higher education. She has led vision and strategy in areas of education, health care, workforce development, technology, crisis management, financial sustainability, leadership, fundraising and intercultural communication. Lieberman was the first female president of the 133-year-old University of La Verne, a private not-for-profit University in Southern California, serving graduate and undergraduate students in Health, Education, Business, Law, and General Education. Currently, she leads “Lieberman & Associates” consulting domestically and globally.

As the first female President of the University of La Verne, a private, not-for-profit university in Southern California, Dr. Lieberman led the 133 year-old institution to become a beacon of innovation and impact. She developed pathways for students from all socioeconomic backgrounds to access higher education and be prepared to excel in the current and future workforce.

Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit and a pragmatic optimism, she founded Lieberman & Associates, which provides consulting, executive coaching and strategic advisory services nationally and internationally to corporate, higher education and nonprofit organizations.

As a purpose-driven leader with extensive board experience, Dr. Lieberman actively seeks opportunities to also serve on corporate boards or advisory groups where she can passionately contribute relevant guidance, insightful perspectives and exemplary leadership.
