Suppose you answered all the questions in the KBC correctly and you won 7 crores, then you have to pay 30 per cent tax and on top of that 3 per cent and surcharge means the government. Not only this, if you have won 10000 rupees, then the government has to pay 30 per cent of that.

In 2011, Sushil Kumar became the winner of Kaun Banega Crorepati Season-5. He was given five crore rupees in the prize money, but the actual amount he got was 3.6 crores. This amount is made after deducting TDS from the amount of five crores.
