Could Japan invade the United States? During World War II it was a very good possibility. The United States decided to build a highway between the lower 48 States and the (then) territory of Alaska. It was a very tough undertaking, but the biggest enemies to overcome were the vast untamed wilderness, wicked weather, mud, permafrost, animals and even racism.
