President Draupadi Murmu administered oaths to the Central Council of Ministers of the new NDA government on Sunday (June 9). Led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the COM is larger in strength compared to the previous term, featuring 30 cabinet ministers, five Ministers of State (Independent Charge) and 36 Ministers of State. In this video, along with talking about the types of ministers, we are also telling the difference between Cabinet Minister and Minister of State.



Article 74 of the Constitution deals with the status of the council of ministers while Article 75 deals with the appointment, tenure, responsibility, qualification, oath and salaries and allowances of the ministers.The COM consists of three categories of ministers, namely, cabinet ministers, ministers of state, and deputy ministers. At the top of all these ministers stands the Prime Minister.
