At least 42 people have died following air strikes in Gaza, according to Hamas-run government officials.

Israel Defence Forces said its fighter jets struck two Hamas military targets but deny responsibility for a separate attack following claims Israeli tanks shelled civilians in a refugee camp in Rafah.
