Scarlett Johansson presents the award of "Best Supporting Actor Motion Picture" to Christian Bale for "The Fighter". Bale thanks the Hollywood Foreign Press, the rest of the cast, and the real life, Dicky and Micky Ecklund, whom the characters were based on. He gave a special thanks to Mark Walhberg, complimenting him on his great "stoic" performance that enabled his "loud" character to shine. He concluded his speech, by giving thanks to the city of Lowell, which allowed for their crew to film in their city and capture their life.
