Are you moving to Atlanta to work for Emory, the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, or the CDC and want to live near Emory? Perhaps you just landed a new job at Emory or CHOA and you are now scratching your head wondering "What is the best neighborhood to live in that is as close as possible to Emory?" If this is you, I've got you covered with some of my top suggestions to live near the Emory area in Atlanta.

I cover Atlanta neighborhoods that are within a 20-25 minute commute or less - so if you are thinking about the suburbs, this video doesn't really touch on that. (But hint - if you do want a suburb, I'd suggest sticking to those just north of Atlanta like Dunwoody/Sandy Springs or to the east, such as Tucker, Lilburn or even Peachtree Corners).

Whatever Atlanta neighborhood you ultimately decide upon will probably be determined on your budget and also if schools are a factor. Most of the Atlanta neighborhoods I mention are zoned to highly-ranked schools and I'll mention some of the pros and cons with these neighborhoods. If you want a walkable neighborhood or prefer a more quite/less busy vibe, there are Atlanta neighborhoods near Emory that can fit those needs. My ultimate top choice is Virginia-Highland (but I'm a little biased as I live in this neighborhood myself). And if you are single, I even mention best places to live in Atlanta and near Emory if you are single.
