Welcome to the third and final day in Lyon!

On our final day in Lyon, France and we start the day with a funicular ride up to visit the stunning BASILICA OF NOTRE-DAME DE FOURVIÈRE! This was one of the most beautiful churches I've seen, and because of my many trips to Italy, I've been a lot of stunning churches. Since we were up here, we also took advantage of the lovely views from above. Then we walked over to the THÉÂTRE GALLO ROMAIN DE LYON, which was a lovely Roman amphitheater. It is really cool to see the Roman influence on the city of Lyon, so taking in the historic sites was lovely. Next we went to LES HALLES DE LYON PAUL BOCUSE which is a famous food hall in Lyon. Bocuse is essentially the Godfather of French cuisine, and is he very beloved in this culinary City. We ate delicious Oysters at this food hall, and I bought some delicious treats to take home to Canada with us, especially my favourites the Cocon de Lyon. For dinner we followed in my favourite Anthony Bourdain's footsteps and ate at this bouchon that he also ate at called CAFÉ COMPTOIR ABEL, where we once again ate Quenelle (as we will miss this fish dish in Canada). The chicken with Morel mushrooms was so delicious as well! Since it was our last day we did a bit of shopping for family members, and also bought some food items to take home, such as the praline brioche from FRANÇOIS PRALUS, MAÎTRE CHOCOLATIER which we highly recommend! This was our final stop, so after Lyon we head home to Canada. It was perfect timing, as my memory card was completely spent!
