There are several ways to record a screen on a Mac. And this works on iMac, Macbook, Macbook Pro, and Macbook Air regardless of the age of the computer.
The easier option is using Quicktime Player which is an app installed on every Mac. Simply open QuickTime and select file and screen recording. You can choose to record a portion of your screen or your entire screen. Once your select the screen recording, you'll need to select a microphone. By default, it's set to build in Microphone. For better sound quality, you can use this mic: (affiliate link) Shure MV7 https://amzn.to/3pWd9uD The next option is using OBS which is free software you'll need to download.
