On the wave of mass xenophobia that swept Russia after the terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall, migrants from Tajikistan began to leave the country en masse. In St. Petersburg, following Moscow, a large-scale operation to find and deport migrants began. On March 29th, several buses with detainees, who had been ordered to be deported from Russia, left for Pulkovo airport, human rights activists report.
