After the release of Metal Gear Acid, Konami was clearly happy with how it performed. Despite some extensive searching, I wasn’t able to find much of anything in regards to the development process of Acid 2, or the sales of the first game, but someone at the company clearly liked the idea of a sequel, as the team would quickly get to work on one, with Acid 2 releasing only a year after the original. But the real question is, with such a short development, were they really able to expand and improve upon the gameplay, and how would the game follow up on the original’s absolutely insane story?
