App Icon Badges on the home screen of a Samsung Galaxy S23 are small visual notifications that appear on the top-right corner of an app's icon. These badges are designed to let you know when there are unread notifications or alerts for a specific app. For example, if you receive a new message on WhatsApp or an email in Gmail, you will see a badge on the app's icon showing the number of unread messages. You can also customize how app icon badges appear on your home screen. For instance, you can choose to show the number of unread notifications or display a dot without a number. Additionally, you can customize the color of the badges to your liking. Note that not all apps support app icon badges, and some may require you to enable them individually in their own settings. Also, keep in mind that app icon badges can use up battery life, so it's a good idea to only enable them for the apps that you want to see notifications for.
