Nate Diaz is the true 'Original Gangster' and a living legend. The American MMA fighter from Stockton, California, is brash, loud-mouthed and calls a spade a spade. Let's take a look at why Nate Diaz is a UFC superstar.

#3. Defeated Conor McGregor with 11 days notice.
Conor McGregor had taken the MMA world by storm by knocking out Jose Aldo for the UFC featherweight title in just 13 seconds. McGregor was scheduled to face Rafael dos Anjos, the then-UFC lightweight champion, in his next fight. The fight, however, was called off due to an injury to Dos Anjos. Nate Diaz was brought in to fight Conor McGregor at UFC 196 on a short 11-day notice, replacing the champion. Nate didn't just show up for battle as an underdog, he went on to defeat Conor by submission in one of the most shocking MMA wins ever. After the fight, Diaz was asked how he felt about his victory. Nate responded to Joe Rogan with the now-iconic lines, "I'm not surprised, Motherf***ers".
