Please join the CSIS Aerospace Security Project virtually on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, 3:00 - 4:00 PM EDT, for a conversation with Major General Gregory J. Gagnon, Deputy Chief of Space Operations for Intelligence, U.S. Space Force, and Brigadier General Brian D. Sidari, Director of Intelligence, U.S. Space Command. Maj. Gen. Gagnon and Brig. Gen. Sidari will sit down with Kari A. Bingen, Director of the Aerospace Security Project, to discuss how intelligence is fundamental to the Space Force theory of success, Competitive Endurance, unveiled by the Chief of Space Operations at CSIS in February 2023. The livestreamed conversation will cover threats to the space domain, the intelligence capabilities and partnerships necessary for securing our interests in space, and how the space intelligence enterprise is posturing for an increasingly dynamic operating environment, including through the standup of the National Space Intelligence Center and new 75th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Squadron.

In his current role, Maj. Gen. Gagnon serves as the Senior Intelligence Officer to the Chief of Space Operations and is responsible to the Secretary of the Air Force and Chief of Space Operations for intelligence policy, oversight, and guidance of Space Force intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities. He is a career Intelligence Officer with an extensive background in cyberspace operations and his staff tours include Pacific Air Forces, Air Force Space Command, Air Combat Command, U.S. Strategic Command, and U.S. Space Command.

Brig. Gen. Sidari serves as the senior intelligence advisor to the Commander of U.S. Space Command and directs all intelligence operations. Prior to this role, he served as the Director of Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance at Headquarters, Space Operations Command, Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado. He has served in or deployed to U.S. European Command, U.S. Central Command, U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, and the Joint Staff.
