An introduction to Integrative Medicine, Oncology Acupuncture, and self-care for symptoms and side effects from treatment.
In this seminar on Oncology Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine, Mari will discuss: Guided Meditation – led by Shannon Prescher Self-care and management of the following cancer treatment side effects including: Fatigue, Nausea, Hot flashes, Neuropathy, Stress/Anxiety. Acupressure points and explanation of acupressure seeds Q&A Session Presenters: Mari Galle, DACM, LAc is a licensed acupuncturist and holds a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. She is the Director of Integrative Medicine at CRIM. Her advanced training in oncology acupuncture allows for her patients to receive individualized acupuncture treatments and integrative medicine consultations throughout their cancer journey. She is an active member of the Society for Integrative Oncology and the Society for Acupuncture Research. Shannon Prescher RYT-200, TIYT is a Registered Yoga Teacher with a Certification in Trauma Informed Yoga. She builds her yoga training upon her academic education and is intimately familiar with the effects of illness and pain on one’s development, mind, and overall wellbeing. She combines her knowledge and training of both worlds to create an offering that supports the healing journey of individuals who are managing cancer, auto-immune disorders, chronic pain and chronic illness. She not only acknowledges her work as a passion; she honors it as a calling to support individuals experiencing illness re-connect with their inherent being. |
