Summary: - The traction motor is a key component in the electric vehicle/hybrid electric vehicle (EV/HEV) development process. Designing a highly efficient and cost-effective traction motor is challenging. It is "A True Multiphysics Problem" - Which requires precise attribute balancing across all the physics platforms. All the attributes are interconnected which in turn develops dependency across the departments, but the goal is "Efficient & Robust E Machine development" In this Webinar we will cover the following topics: • Key challenges to traction motor design • Front-Loading the Design decisions through simulation • Finite Element Analysis for Traction machines • Traction Machine Thermal management and NVH validation • Motor control integration and validation SpeakerProfile: Tushar Sambharam is a Principal Technology Specialist at ANSYS Inc responsible to provide simulation solutions for electric vehicles. He has over sixteen years of experience in modeling and simulation of Traction machines, Power Electronics, EMI EMC, and wireless charging. Tushar is currently focusing on front-loading V&V making use of 3D Physics, AI/ML, and system simulations. Over the years, Tushar has worked extensively in enabling major Indian automotive OEMs and suppliers with adoption of advanced simulation methods for component design, sub-system, and system studies. Tushar has developed several innovative modeling techniques using Multiphysics, Design optimization, Data Analytics, and system simulation to solve EV challenges. He has several conference publications to his credit. |
