Here's how Congress, CPI(M) plans to address 'post-poll violence' in Tripura |

An eight-member delegation comprising leaders of the CPI(M), the CPI and the Congress arrived in Tripura on Friday on a fact-finding mission to take stock of the post-poll violence in the state.
The team is expected to stay in Tripura till March 12 after which it will submit a report and the issue will be raised in Parliament which convenes from March 13. The delegation will be split into three teams for visiting the affected districts of West Tripura, Sepahijala and Khowai. Ranjeet Ranjan, Congress' Rajya Sabha MP, said: "Atrocities were committed on those who were not with the BJP. Many houses were looted, some were set on fire. We are bringing a delegation comprising MLAs, CLPs, presidents, and in-charges of of the Congress and CPI(M). We will go the houses of the victims and assure them that no matter how much others try to abuse them, we will be with them." As many as 1,200 incidents of post violence were reported in the state ever since the announcement of Assembly election results on March 2, the CPI(M) leadership claims.
