Cleveland weather forecast for Thursday, May 23, 2024.

Ahhh...can you feel it? The air is more refreshing outside after last night's storms. Not only have we greened up a bit from the rain and lightning, but as cooler, drier air works in you'll notice it just feels different.

We'll continue with that comfortable feeling through the day today with highs in the upper 70s and lower humidity. Sun will give way to high clouds as a wave of low pressure swings by to our south along the same front that moved through yesterday. We DO have a chance for a few rain showers and even rumbles of thunder in our southern counties today as this wave moves by.

We'll clear out areawide tonight with areas of fog. Temps will be rather cool as we drop into the low 50s and even upper 40s in spots. The cool air won't last long as we'll warm up nicely on Friday with highs pushing 80. Sun will mix with clouds late.

As we turn our attention towards Memorial Day Weekend, we'll encounter several waves of rain and storms--but most hours will be dry. In terms of timing the waves of storms, here's the thinking right now.

Wave 1 of rain and storms: Early Saturday-Early Afternoon

Wave 2 of rain and storms: Late Sunday into Memorial Day

We'll continue with a showery pattern as cooler temps take over next week.

TODAY: Sunshine followed by high clouds. Scattered rain later today in our southern counties. Upper 70s.

FRIDAY: Morning fog then lots of sunshine. Clouds return very late in the day. Near 80.

SATURDAY: Scattered rain and storms. Clearing late. Near 80.
