Turahn Dorsey addresses the Boston University School of Education graduating class of 2016 on May 14, 2016. Mr. Dorsey is the newly appointed Chief of Education for the City of Boston and member of Mayor Martin J. Walsh’s cabinet. As the leader of the Mayor’s Office of Education, The Office, Mr. Dorsey is dedicated to increasing education equity, engaging the whole community in learning, and addressing the non-academic factors that impact student success. He here addresses SED students who will be entering the field as teachers, administrators, specialists, coaches, counselors and more, encouraging them to further the same goals his office works toward.
